What is vutrisiran?

Vutrisiran is used to treat adults with polyneuropathy of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis (damage of multiple nerves throughout the body).

Vutrisiran may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before using vutrisiran?

Before using vutrisiran tell your doctor about all your medical conditions or allergies.

Vutrisiran may harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.

How is vutrisiran given?

Vutrisiran is injected under the skin by a healthcare provider once every 3 months.

Your doctor may have you take extra vitamin A while you are using vutrisiran. Take only the amount of vitamin A your doctor has prescribed, especially if you are pregnant.

What happens if I miss a dose?

What happens if I overdose?

In a medical setting an overdose would be treated quickly.

What should I avoid while using vutrisiran?

Follow your doctor's instructions about any restrictions on food, beverages, or activity.

What are the possible side effects of vutrisiran?

• vision problems (especially at night); or
• dryness of the membrane that lines the eyelids and covers the white part of the eye and cornea (the clear layer in front of the iris and pupil).

Common side effects may include:

• pain in your hands or feet;
• joint pain;
• trouble breathing; or
• abnormal blood test.
